Concept
Elo
Elo is a rating system, originally built for chess by Arpad Elo, that assigns each competitor a single number representing skill, updated after every match based on the outcome versus the expected outcome. The anchor: like a leaderboard score, except the update is relative.
The rest of “Elo” is a premium feature: every concept in the library gets a precise, practitioner-focused write-up like this one, cross-linked straight from the paper summaries that use it.
