Terms of Service
Last updated: 8 July 2026
The service
Fig. 1 (“we”, “us”) is a weekly digest of machine learning papers, delivered by email, free to subscribe to. We also offer an optional paid premium tier that adds interactive explainers and a concept library. By using fig1.dev or subscribing to the digest, you agree to these terms.
Fig. 1 is operated from the UK. Postal address: Unit 169636, PO Box 7169, Poole, BH15 9EL. Contact: hello@fig1.dev.
AI-generated content
Paper summaries, explainers, and concept entries in Fig. 1 are generated by an AI model from paper metadata and abstracts. They are a convenience, not a guarantee: they may be incomplete, simplified, or contain factual errors, and they are not a substitute for reading the source paper. Always check the original paper before relying on a summary for research, citation, or decision-making purposes.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service: no scraping or automated bulk collection of content beyond normal reading, no attempting to bypass the premium gate, no interfering with the service or other subscribers, and no unlawful use of the site or the emails we send you.
Premium billing
Premium is a recurring subscription billed in GBP through Stripe. You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period; we do not offer refunds for partial periods except where required by law. We may change premium pricing from time to time; if we do, we will give you notice before any new price applies to your next billing cycle, and continuing your subscription after that point means you accept the new price.
Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, or from any decision made in reliance on an AI-generated summary or explainer. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.
arXiv and Cornell University
arXiv is a trademark of Cornell University. Fig. 1 uses publicly available paper metadata from arXiv.org but is an independent product, not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by arXiv or Cornell University.
