Exact match
Exact match (often abbreviated EM) is an evaluation metric that scores a prediction as correct only when it is identical to the reference answer, character for character after light normalization. It is the strictest common metric: partial credit does not exist.
The rest of “Exact match” is a premium feature: every concept in the library gets a precise, practitioner-focused write-up like this one, cross-linked straight from the paper summaries that use it.
